Course Description
Students participating in the Study & Intern program take one academic module of their choice during Session 1 of the program, and then begin their internship in Session 2. Students will work with London Met’s internship provider to find the right placement for them. Due to visa requirements, students cannot do the internship by itself - it can only be done in combination with an academic module. Only one class is taken per session, so students may not take a Session 2 course if they are participating in an internship.
Each academic module will include teaching inside and outside the classroom. Assessment will depend on the module but can include a presentation, project work, and/or written assignments. Internships take place full-time on four days per week and are joined by an academic element on one day per week at the university.
Students who complete the program in good standing can expect to earn 30 UK credit points which ISEP recommends is the equivalent of 6 U.S. Credit Hours. Each course will be worth 15 UK credit points / 3 US credit hours.
Please note that if you use financial aid, you may be required to earn 6 US credits to be eligible for summer aid. Please speak with a qualified financial aid advisor to understand your eligibility and the requirements for using financial aid.
