PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

• Live and learn in Sevilla, a city rich in history and Spanish culture. Home to numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites and stunning architecture, Sevilla offers an authentic Andalusian experience, celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and lively flamenco scene. Enjoy life outside, savoring meals on terraces, sipping coffee under the orange trees, and experiencing street concerts and live performances as you explore the city.

• Benefit from courses primarily taught in English, led by industry professionals actively engaged in their fields. EUSA’s hands-on approach emphasizes practical learning in International Business, Film and Media Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Spanish Language and Culture, and Tourism Management.

• Engage in project-based learning at EUSA, a public-private partnership between the University of Sevilla and the Sevilla Chamber of Commerce, amidst a student body of over 2,000 students.

• Explore Spain easily from Sevilla’s central train station, which offers direct, high-speed connections to Córdoba, Málaga, and Madrid – perfect for weekend excursions and exploring Spain’s diverse landscapes and cultures!

LIFE ABROAD

Immerse yourself in Spain's fourth largest city, renowned for flamenco, bustling street life, and vibrant festivals. A 10 minute-walk from the city center, EUSA is located in the San Bernardo and El Porvenir quarters, offering easy citywide access via tram, metro, and extensive bus routes. Rent a bike or scooter to explore Sevilla’s charming neighborhoods and scenic riverfront at your own pace.

LIVE

Make yourself at home in a student residence, where each unit accommodates two students with single bedrooms, shared living spaces, kitchenettes, and modern amenities. Enjoy convenient proximity to metro and rail stations, along with facilities like gyms, game rooms, and even a rooftop lounge or swimming pool overlooking Plaza España. See additional details below.

DINE

Visit Sevilla’s Mercado de Triana, where you can select fresh produce and seafood, or shop at a nearby grocery store before preparing a delicious meal in your kitchenette with friends. Take advantage of the affordable student menu at the EUSA Cafeteria and order ahead for quick bites between classes. Don’t miss out on local favorites like Churros con Chocolate and the savory Serranito sandwich—a perfect blend of flavors and local culture. We recommend students budget 300 euros per month for grocery expenses.

EXPERIENCE

Explore Sevilla’s iconic Plaza de España, a cinematic backdrop for films like Star Wars, and rent rowboats for a leisurely afternoon on the water with friends. Soccer enthusiasts can cheer on Sevilla’s two major teams, Sevilla FC and Real Betis. Immerse yourself in Sevilla’s cultural heartbeat through activities like flamenco dancing lessons or attending live performances at local flamenco bars.

EXPLORE

Discover Sevilla’s charm through its historic markets and festive celebrations or venture further to visit Córdoba’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including its ancient mosques. Explore Granada’s stunning palaces or relax on the picturesque beaches of southern Portugal. With Sevilla’s central train station offering high-speed connections, you can easily explore nearby cities, or hop on a quick 1-hour flight to Barcelona or other major European cities from the international airport.

THRIVE

Participate in EUSA’s Tandem Buddy Program at the start of the semester to connect with local students for language exchanges, fostering a supportive community from day one. EUSA provides comprehensive guidance and support regarding life in Sevilla, including health and safety resources. Immerse yourself in cultural activities – many offered free or at reduced prices for EUSA students – such as river kayaking, guided city tours, and hands-on workshops in ceramics and flamenco.

Tips for Finding Courses

Students can view the various tracks offered by EUSA to get a general idea of the courses offered. Click into each track for more information on the specific courses offered. Students are not limited to taking courses from one track and can choose from the full catalogue of courses. Syllabi can be found in English and Spanish in the full catalogue.

Students may also review the following documents: Courses in English, Courses in Spanish Fall Semester, Courses in Spanish Spring Semester. Be sure to check which semester each course is offered to confirm availability. Semester 1 refers to the Fall semester and Semester 2 refers to the Spring semester. Courses in English are offered Monday - Thursday.

In order to take courses in Spanish, students must have completed at least 3 semesters of college level Spanish. 4 semesters of college Spanish is recommended. The majority of students take courses in English, or a mix. Students are strongly encouraged to take a Spanish intensive course as a pre-session or concurrently during the semester.

When completing their course list, students must provide at least 7 course offerings they are interested in taking. This will help with flexibility of enrollment if there are timing difficulties with courses.
