Study in the U.S.A. - Southeast (in English) - ISEP Exchange
All courses offered are available for international exchange students as long as they meet the course prerequisites. Students should be aware that not every course in the catalog is offered each year or will be available to them.
Students typically enroll in four to five classes per term which averages to 12-15 hours in class per week. A term runs for 14 weeks. Randolph Macon's academic calendar includes an intensive four-week January term in which students focus on one or two courses, including many study/travel courses. International students at Randolph-Macon for a full year may participate in J-term, but students here for only one semester do not.
HOUSING
A double room in a residence hall or in the International House.
Students’ housing remains the same during vacation periods (except for Christmas break when remaining international students must move to the International House temporarily), but is NOT available during the summer vacation.
There are cooking facilities in the International House but not in the dormitories. The International House has 11 residents, usually half international and half from the U.S. Incoming ISEP students should complete the housing form that will be sent to them via e-mail and return it, along with the required housing deposit, to Randolph-Macon College. The Office of International Education can help exchange students acquire bedding during orientation.

MEALS
Meals are not provided during vacation periods (summer, Thanksgiving, winter, January-term, and spring breaks). However, ISEP students who remain on campus during Thanksgiving break, J-Term break (only relevant for full-year exchange students) or spring break are provided with a meal stipend each day they are on campus. During those breaks, cooking facilities in the International House are made available and grocery stores are within walking distance from campus.
*Calendar Year students are not eligible for ISEP housing and meal benefits over the summer break.
