Founded in 1830, Randolph-Macon College is the nation’s oldest continuously operating Methodist-related college and a member of the Annapolis Group, America’s 90 elite colleges of liberal arts and sciences. Covering over 120 acres, the campus includes six historic landmark buildings and a variety of social and athletic facilities. With an enrollment of fewer than 1,500 students and a 15:1 ratio of students to professors, Randolph-Macon College provides unparalleled opportunities for individualized attention. The Randolph-Macon faculty are distinguished scholars yet devoted to close interaction with students in their classrooms and laboratories, providing opportunities for collaborative research. "Believe in the moment of connection" is the R-MC motto, and we believe in connections among students, as well as, between students and faculty, in and out of the classroom.

Ashland, Virginia, United States Campus Website

Ashland is a small, close-knit community only 24 kilometers north of Richmond, the capital of Virginia, and 145 kilometers south of Washington, D.C. The lovely campus is conveniently located two minutes from the Amtrak train line which services the eastern coast of the U.S.

Over 90 percent of students live on campus, which means the college also offers a lively social environment. On weekends, students are within reach of Richmond, Va., Washington, D.C., the beach, and the scenic areas of North Carolina and West Virginia. Macon Outdoors organizes trips to nearby hiking trails, rivers and adventure parks. The International Interest Group embodies international friendship and activities on campus. All students are encouraged to participate in campus events which include sports, theater, music and community service opportunities. Anything R-MC students do, international students are welcome to participate in as well!
