Le Havre is more than just a port city in northwestern France.  Recognized as  UNESCO World Heritage site for its post-war architecture and home to renowned impressionist painters, the city also houses Université le Havre Normandie. The university is ideal for students seeking to improve their French skills, offering course options in both French and English, French lessons at every level, tailorable credit-bearing volunteering opportunities and a welcoming environment for international students (that includes a peer-tutoring program). Students with an intermediate to advanced French level can take a full course load of regular university courses in French alongside local French students. 

Economics, international trade, languages, law and mathematics are the most appropriate fields for ISEP participants. Cooperative education programs in business, computer science, engineering, trade with Asia, trade with Latin America, international trade, management, management of sales and purchasing, negotiation, transport and logistics and translation studies are open to ISEP participants. Looking for courses in English? HOUSING AND MEALS

ISEP students are accomodated in a university residence hall and recieve a meal stipend. 

SCHOLARSHIP

This program qualifies for the ISEP French and German Language Annette Kade Fund Scholarship. The scholarship awards $500 - $1,500 USD to students who are from a U.S. institution and studying French or German language in Austria, France, Germany, Reunion Island, or Switzerland. Learn more here!

Other Academic Conditions

Students must have an A2 level in French even if applying to take courses in English.

For non-native English speakers, a B2 English language level is required for courses in English.  

PASSPORT: All students must have a valid passport to participate in this program. If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest you start the application process as soon as possible.
