UNO offers nearly 200 academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels in a broad range of disciplines, including business administration; communication, fine arts and media; education and human sciences; engineering; information science and technology; public affairs and community service; and a full selection from the liberal arts and sciences.
UNO’s academic programs have been nationally ranked. According to the newest U.S. News and World Report’s graduate school rankings, the University of Nebraska at Omaha's graduate programs in information science, criminal justice and public finance are listed among the nation’s top graduate programs. The College of Information Science and Technology has been ranked sixth in the nation. Programs popular with exchange students include business, computer science, international studies, Latino/Latin American studies, management information systems, music, Native American studies and social work.
As an ISEP student, you can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available.
HOUSING
University apartments available with shared bathrooms. Laundry services and cooking facilities are available onsite.
Meals
A stipend is given to students to cover meals on campus (cafeteria or food courts) for breakfast and lunch between Monday and Friday and for meal preparation / dining at local restaurants on weekends and during breaks.
*Calendar Year students are not eligible for ISEP housing or meal benefits over the summer break

Courses in the graduate psychology program are NOT open to exchange students.
Engineering school requires the equivalent to a 3.0 GPA and 70 iBT and writing subscore of 20, or 6.0 IELTS and 5.5 writing subscore.
Students from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom whose first language is English are exempt from this requirement. TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic or Duolingo results are the preferred indicators of English proficiency. Applicants whose first language is not English can submit one of the following:
For undergraduate level of study, TOEFL IBT/PBT 61/500 or TOEFL iBT Home Edition 61. IELTS 6.0. Duolingo English Exam 95. PTE Academic 44. ACT English Sub Score 18. SAT Reading Sub Score 24. UNO Certificate of English Language Proficiency https://www.unomaha.edu/international-studies-and-programs/study-abroad/_files/docs/english-proficiency-form-updated-2019.pdf completed by the student's professor or instructor of English, or a director of an English language program. ISEP Language Proficiency Report (LPR) B2. TOEFL MyBest Scores and IELTS Indicator are not accepted.
For graduate level of study, TOEFL IBT/PBT 80/550. IELTS 6.5. PTE Academic 53. Duolingo English Exam 105. UNO Certificate of English Language Proficiency https://www.unomaha.edu/international-studies-and-programs/study-abroad/_files/docs/english-proficiency-form-updated-2019.pdf completed by the student's professor or instructor of English, or a director of an English language program. The proof of English Proficiency should be within 2 years. Other English proficiency exams are not accepted.
PASSPORT: All students must have a valid passport to participate in this program. If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest you start the application process as soon as possible.
