Summer in London (in English) - ISEP Direct
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• Study on Roehampton’s beautiful parkland campus in southwest London, living alongside international peers while having easy access to world-class museums, West End theaters, and markets.
• Benefit from small class sizes and dedicated support for summer session students, including airport pickup, a welcome meal, and a full on-campus event calendar for the duration of your 3- or 6-week session.
LIFE ABROAD
Spend your summer on Roehampton’s leafy, park-like campus in southwest London while keeping the city’s world-class museums, markets, theater districts, and iconic River Thames skyline within easy reach. London’s blend of global cultures, historic sites, and lively neighborhoods makes it a place you’ll want to explore at every opportunity.
Experience & Cultural Engagement
After arriving in London and being picked up from the airport, you'll attend orientation, where you will enjoy a welcome meal, learn about campus services, and have a chance to mingle with fellow students. Get involved with the Roehampton Abroad Social Program, specifically designed to help you make the most of your summer by keeping you connected through planned social events like afternoon teas, barbecues, and quiz nights. For an additional fee, you can also join optional excursions that may include anything from guided trips to historic destinations like Oxford, Stonehenge, or Bath, to West End theater shows and walking tours of iconic London sites. With some classes often including local experiential learning trips, you’ll have many opportunities to engage with the city’s cultural landscape.
Live & Dine
Stay in an on-campus residence hall where you’ll live in a single occupancy room arranged along a corridor and share a kitchen, bathroom, and social areas with fellow international students. You will receive a bedroom pack with essentials and all the kitchen cooking utensils you need to make your own food or prepare a meal with friends.
When you feel like eating out, South London offers everything from casual cafés and street food stalls to traditional pubs serving fish and chips, pie and mash, or a full English breakfast. Grocery stores like Tesco and Roehampton Supermarket are within easy reach, and most students budget about 200 to 300 GBP per month for meals and groceries.
Explore London
Visit iconic landmarks such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace, browse Borough and Camden Market, or take in skyline views from Primrose Hill. With direct train access and short flights from London, weekend travel to cities like Oxford, Bath, Edinburgh, Paris, or Dublin is easy to plan.
What We Love About This Program
We love that this program offers the best of both worlds — a gorgeous, green campus setting that is close to central London without being in the middle of it. You’ll be steps from Richmond Park, the London Wetland Centre, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, giving you space to recharge in nature while keeping the city within easy reach.
