The Student Life Office – a partnership between the University, Roehampton Students Union, the Colleges and the academic Departments – exists to provide you with a dynamic, exciting and relevant extracurricular experience. RSU has approximately 35 societies, covering a wide range of interests, beliefs and activities, and providing the perfect way to meet like-minded people and make friends. The societies are supported by RSU and Student Life Office but are run by students for students. RSU also provides an entertainment program that includes weekly events such as the Bop, Fez Club and larger events including Freshers’ Week and the highlight of the year – the Summer Ball.
Sport Roehampton provides high-quality sport, physical activity and health services for Roehampton students and staff, the local community and elite athletes. Each of its clubs is open to all, and most offer coached sessions, recreational sessions and opportunities to compete.

London is a fantastic place to be a student and studying in south-west London means that whatever you’re looking for or whatever you’re into, you won’t be short of things to do! Whether you’re interested in film, music, sport, nightlife, theatre, fashion or art you’ll find it all here. London is also the jumping off point for many European adventures. You can take the Eurostar train from St Pancras International station to Paris for a weekend or hop on to any of the budget airlines operating out of London’s airports and go to almost any European city.
