Study in Mexico (in English, Spanish)
Tecnológico de Monterrey is located in Monterrey city, the capital of the Nuevo Leon state in northern Mexico. Monterrey is an important industrial, commercial and educational center, and enjoys some of Mexico’s highest standards of living. Overall it is an innovative, modern city, though the historic Barrio Antiguo retains some traditional charm and is filled cafes, restaurants, nightlife spots, cultural events and museums – this neighborhood is also a popular hangout for Monterrey’s many students in the evenings and on weekends. The city boasts a warm, dry climate and lies in a valley surrounded by stunning mountain ranges, with the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Tec de Monterrey's mission is to produce information capable of transforming lives. Since its founding, Tec de Monterrey has focused on research, with the 3 “i’s” of Investigation, Innovation and Internationalization, continuing to guide their work in this area. The university is consistently ranked in the top 200 universities worldwide, as the number one private university in Mexico and as the fifth best university in Latin America.
ISEP students immerse themselves in Mexican culture and daily life by taking university classes with local students and living with a host family in the community. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups. Business internships are also available to ISEP students, and regular excursions are planned by the International Programs Office.
