LIFE ABROAD

The University of Roehampton International Summer School is a great opportunity to continue your academic studies at a beautiful campus just six miles from London’s theater district. By joining a friendly, collegiate community — where students live, learn and socialize together — you will benefit from the University’s excellent facilities and enjoy access to London’s world-class museums, libraries, galleries and nightlife.

Excursions & Cultural Experiences

Participate in social events both on and off campus, including welcome and farewell parties, quiz nights, and walking tours. ISEP students can opt into the Roehampton Abroad Social Program for an additional fee, offering evening events around London, day trips to cultural and historic sites like Stonehenge, Oxford, and Bath, a night out in the West End theatre district, or a cruise along the Thames.

Housing & Meals

Live right on campus and walk to your classes! Choose from three housing categories, each with single occupancy bedrooms and shared facilities, typically with six local and international students. Your accommodation includes a bedroom and kitchen pack with all the essentials. Residential college membership offers activities and support to help you settle into campus life. Each residence includes on-site resident assistance, 24/7 security, and internet access. For an additional cost, choose between housing upgrades featuring private bathrooms, queen beds, and balconies.

Cook with friends in your residence hall, grab something on campus, or enjoy one of the many nearby neighborhood restaurants. The Hive Café, an ethical and environmentally friendly coffee shop, is a popular place to meet up with friends right on campus. Each of Roehampton’s four colleges offers its own dining option, and South London is brimming with street food, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, and more. Seeking traditional fare? Be sure to try fish and chips, pie and mash, Cornish pasties, or a full English! Grocery stores, including Tesco and the Roehampton Supermarket, are within 1-2 miles of campus. Plan to spend about 200-300 GBP a month for groceries and meals out.

Explore Roehampton

Wander through art and history exhibits at nearby South London museums like the Victoria and Albert, or cheer on the local team at various sporting venues. This part of the city offers something for everyone: shopping, food, and plenty of green open spaces. Studying with us will give you the best of both worlds: the community feel of a traditional university campus, with the culture and entertainment of one of the greatest cities in the world.
