ACADEMIC CALENDAR

- The Winter (Fall) semester at TU Graz always starts at the beginning of October and ends at the end of January.

- The Summer (Spring) semester always starts at the beginning of March and ends at the end of June/beginning of July (1st week).

- Exams can take place up to 2 weeks after the end of courses.

Students recommended to remain in Graz for at least the first week after the end of the semester, in order to complete exams and to prepare for departure.  TU Graz can be flexible if students need to return to their home universities prior to the official end of semester.  In those cases, students may be granted an early exam or individual assessments or projects, in order to earn ECTS credits. Students are supported by the International Office at TU Graz to speak to professors and find individual solutions for each of their courses.

Exams for the Winter semester at TU Graz go through the end of January. Students are expected to stay on program for the entire semester. Please note: Students who must return home by late December or Early January may be able to arrange early exams. Students who need to return early should communicate their departure date with their host coordinator upon placement. It is a student’s responsibility to ensure they make proper arrangements to take exams early or virtually after departure.

Please see the academic calendar for updated semester dates.
