Come and experience the best that New Zealand has to offer whilst continuing your studies and gaining all important credits. NMIT Te Pūkenga's Nelson and Marlborough campuses are located at the top of the South Island which gives us privileged access to some of the best outdoor activities and scenery anywhere in the world.

Our region is famed for winemaking, aquaculture and adventure tourism amongst many other things, so whether you're keen to bottle your own vintage, get personal with mussels or go rafting, our Study Abroad programme offers you an easy pathway to come and enjoy it all.

The Nelson campus location means quick and easy access to the cafés, bars and shopping in Nelson city. You’re never far from anywhere - whether it’s quality urban time you’re after, or a break in one of the many city parks and public spaces nearby. Getting around is a breeze, especially on a bike, or using the public bus system.

Just one and a half hours’ drive from Nelson, our Blenheim campus provides a standalone study abroad experience which allows you to immerse yourself in the world of winemaking. The Marlborough region produces 78 percent of New Zealand’s grapes for wine and is the home of the acclaimed New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc variety. Study during the Semester 1 (February to June) and you can include a course that allows placement in a local winery producing your own vintage!
