International University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City

International University is one of six member universities of Vietnam National University HCMC, was established in December 2003. As an interdisciplinary university, it is the first public university in Vietnam that uses English as the primary language in teaching and researching.

IU and its partner universities currently offer undergraduate and graduate accredited programs. The focus has been on offering academic majors that are aligned with the growing demand for human resources in such fields as economics, management, science, and technology. IU’s overall model adheres to the international standards in developing syllabi or curricula in collaboration with several top universities in the United States, Europe and Asia.

IU’s small but growing size allows international students to play an active role in the student community.   International University is located in “University Village," approximately 40 minutes from downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Main campus, located in Thu Duct District, about 20 km away from the city center (approximately 45 minutes driving), is spread on 22,700 m2. The campus provides high quality facility complement including 77 class rooms, 51 laboratories, library, cafeteria, sport area and canteen. Thirty spacious class rooms (50 seats each) and seven auditoriums (154 seats each) are equipped with a projector, computer, screen, Wi-Fi internet connection, and air-conditioner.

  The second campus, located in the city downtown (234 Pasteur St, Ward 6, District 3), is mostly used for graduate programs training. It covers 3,000 square meters, is composed of 12 classrooms, three working rooms, a meeting room, library and aboratory. The inner-city campus is based in the thriving hub of cafés, boutiques and office buildings; it offers a fantastic lifestyle.
