With over 26,100 students, Georgia Southern University’s 10 colleges, schools, and departments offer 132 different degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels. These programs are offered on the University’s beautiful campuses in Statesboro, Savannah, and Hinesville. Our learning environment is unique in its array of public attractions - a Center for Wildlife Education, a Museum, a Botanical Garden, a world-class Performing Arts Center, and collegiate athletics at the championship level.     The Armstrong Atlantic Campus of Georgia Southern University is located in the historic city of Savannah, Georgia, near the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Savannah, often referred to as Georgia's "First City," has a charming atmosphere fostered by residents who have cherished and preserved its past. The city's love of history is embodied in the beautifully restored homes, churches, and public buildings that grace its unique, tree-filled squares. The city is located only four to five hours by car from Atlanta, Georgia, and Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

    The Armstrong campus of Georgia Southern University offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including the Student Government Association, student publications, and more than 40 student clubs, professional organizations, and academic honor societies. An active International Student Organization offers a variety of social, cultural, and academic opportunities for both international and American students.

    Georgia Southern University is located in Statesboro, a safe and classic Main Street community of approximately 30,000 residents less than an hour northwest of Savannah. Although a small city, Statesboro offers an impressive list of amenities, from world-class cultural activities such as ballet, symphonies and theatre, to antique shopping and outdoor activities such as hiking and canoeing. The beautiful beaches of Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina are only a day trip away. The Georgia Southern University campus is one of the most naturally beautiful in the state, spreading over a 675-acre landscape of lawns, lakes, and towering pines.

    Even with an abundant downtown, students don’t have to travel far to find things to do. The campus offers excellent housing, dining, transportation, recreation, and health and safety services to a diverse student body from 48 states and 89 countries.
