Rocky Mountain College is a residential, comprehensive liberal arts college located beneath the sandstone "rim-rocks" in a park-like suburban neighborhood of Billings, Montana, the state's largest and most economically vibrant city. The College, highly regarded regionally for its overall excellence, expresses its mission through the core themes of academic excellence, transformational learning, and shared responsibility and stewardship. The College's faculty are dedicated to student-centered learning and lead programs that include an ongoing experiment aboard the International Space Station and the nation’s first unmanned aircraft certification curriculum.
Rocky Mountain College boasts a record of success enabled by a low student-faculty ratio (12:1) and a generous program of financial aid. 97 percent of students go on to graduate programs or careers in their desired field. 52 undergraduate majors – including one of the nation’s top aviation programs – as well as graduate degrees in physician assistant studies, accountancy and educational leadership draw students from 41 states and 16 countries. Rocky Mountain College, founded in 1878, has an undergraduate enrollment of about 1,000 students.

Billings, the largest city in Montana, is located on the high plains of Montana, near the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains. Outdoor recreation opportunities are numerous and varied. Billings is a retail and medical center for the region and offers a variety of cultural exploration opportunities. The city has public transportation and an airport.
International students are very active in student government, clubs, music, theater performance, athletics and International Sojourners, the international student association. The Outdoor Recreation Department schedules outings every weekend and during vacation periods. Activities include skiing, hiking in Yellowstone National Park, rafting, mountaineering and climbing and biking. Fortin Center houses a swimming pool, squash and racquetball courts, gyms and cardio-resistance and weight-lifting facilities.
