On-campus facilities include the computer center, music building, university theater, museum, radio and TV station and observatory. Athletic facilities include a football stadium, basketball stadium, natatorium, track, golf course, tennis courts and indoor activity center and are available for use free of charge.
The Office of Study Abroad sponsors the NMSU Rotaract Club, composed of domestic and international students interested in participating in cross-cultural fellowship while engaging in community and international service projects; and the NMSU Study Abroad Ambassadors Club, which organizes welcoming receptions and support services for incoming exchange students and arranges social and cultural activities, including field trips, for exchange students.
