McDaniel College was founded in 1867 as Western Maryland College and was the first co-educational institution south of the Mason-Dixon line. Location: We're just 45 minutes from Baltimore, MD, and 1.5 hours to Washington, DC. We also have a sister campus located in Budapest, Hungary.
Student Body: Approximately 1,700 undergraduate students with 51% identifying as female and 49% as male. About 40% of our students identify as a student of color and represent 32 states and Washington, DC as well as a variety of countries. 85% of students live on campus.
Coursework: 33 majors and an additional 40 minors can be found. Between those offerings and our liberal arts and sciences courses (the McDaniel Plan) there's sure to be something for everyone.
