The TU Study Abroad & Away Office and International Student and Scholar Office staff work closely with exchange students, international coordinators, and other exchange program representatives to ensure a positive experience for students. The staff facilitates on-campus housing placement, course registration, and an understanding of campus life in the United States. Location
TU is located in Towson, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore in the heart of the mid-Atlantic region. Students can walk from campus to Towson, a college town with tree-lined residential streets, restaurants, bookstores, movies, and shopping, which allows them to get involved in the community.
Baltimore, affectionately known as Charm City, played a significant role in the American Revolution and today offers an interesting mix of historic character and modern city life. Students enjoy access to Baltimore's professional sports teams in the NFL and MLB, waterfront restaurants and shopping, art galleries, theatre performances, and the National Aquarium.
TU is also about an hour north of Washington, D.C., two hours south of Philadelphia, and three hours south of New York City. The proximity to big cities provides a wealth of cultural and educational resources and expands the opportunities for jobs, internships, and research.
