With approximately 550 on-campus residents, you will enjoy a traditional campus experience with easy access to Madison's cultural, social and recreational experiences. The city offers 6,000 acres of parkland and greenways, with numerous bike paths linking Madison to Wisconsin's rolling countryside. There is a small beach, where students have access to boat rentals (kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards). When the weather is nice, it makes for a great afternoon outdoors. If you like to hike, fish, ski, snowboard, bike or run, Edgewood College has plenty of ways to enjoy the great outdoors year-round. For sports fans, Wisconsin has great professional and collegiate sports teams to cheer for--the Green Bay Packers (NFL), Milwaukee Brewers (MLB), the Wisconsin Badgers (multiple sports), and Edgewood's Eagles (college sports teams).
