Edgewood College

Located in Madison, the Wisconsin state capital, Edgewood College leverages community connections in business, health care, government and culture to provide many career-building opportunities for students like you. Founded in 1927 as Catholic liberal arts college, the school aims to foster a values-oriented education, committed above all, to the lifelong search for truth, pursued by men and women of all nationalities and backgrounds. Edgewood Colelge enrolls 2,800 students with international students from nearly 30 countries. The college boasts a low student to faculty ratio of 11 to one.   The campus is located 150 miles northwest of Chicago, in Madison - a vibrant city situated among four lakes in south-central Wisconsin. With approximately 550 on-campus residents, you will enjoy a traditional campus experience with easy access to Madison's cultural, social and recreational experiences. The city offers 6,000 acres of parkland and greenways, with numerous bike paths linking Madison to Wisconsin's rolling countryside. Located on the wooded shores of Lake Wingra, Edgewood gives students the best of both worlds: the friendly community and individual attention of a small campus, combined with opportunities found in larger cities.  There is a small beach, where students have access to boat rentals (kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards). When the weather is nice, it makes for a great afternoon outdoors. If you like to hike, fish, ski, snowboard, bike or run, Edgewood College has plenty of ways to enjoy the great outdoors year-round.    For sports fans, Wisconsin has great professional and collegiate sports teams to cheer for--the Green Bay Packers (NFL), Milwaukee Brewers (MLB), the Wisconsin Badgers (multiple sports), and Edgewood's Eagles (college sports teams).    There are more than 50 student-led social, educational, professional, and service organizations including, Student Government, Campus Activities Board, newspaper and literary magazine, College Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Black Student Union, and more.
