Ursinus was designated an "up and coming college" by U.S. News & World Report. Ursinus is second in the national liberal arts list for 2012, one of only five colleges so designated. In this category, college administrators surveyed for the U.S. News best colleges rankings were asked to nominate colleges they think have made the most promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty, student life, campus or facilities. Ursinus was second on the liberal arts list. U.S. News ranks Ursinus overall in the top tier of 187 national liberal arts colleges at number 71.

Ursinus' beautiful 170-acre campus provides the ideal setting for liberal education. Located in the small town of Collegeville, a suburb of Philadelphia, Ursinus has access to city-scale resources and opportunities while maintaining the intimate, academically-focused community of a small college campus. Academic and social life at Ursinus come together on a graceful plaza and brick walkway linking academic buildings, residence halls and the student center.

Ursinus has a wide variety of clubs and organizations which provide international and American students with a political voice, creative outlets, networking opportunities, religious community and entertainment.

Our international students are invited to participate in the annual welcoming reception for international students and scholars at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, a unique opportunity to meet people from all over the world who are studying, teaching or researching in the Philadelphia area, see amazing performers and visit the galleries of the Archaeological Museum.
