Université d'Angers

Université d'Angers offers flexible options for students to create a program schedule to fit their academic needs and and language level. Located in the famous Loire Valley, Angers is situated among an abundance of vineyards and famous French chateaus and is only about 90 minutes by TGV from Paris. 

The university's history dates back to 1080; however, like many French universities, it was abolished during the French Revolution. The modern Université d'Angers was created in 1971 following the expansion of university centers throughout France. 

Today, Univeristé d'Angers is made up of eight different colleges, spanning over three campuses. The university offers a wide variety of courses taught in French and in English and offers French as a foreign language to students at various language levels.

  Angers is one of the largest cities in the Loire Valley, about 90 minutes by rapid train from Paris. The university has a large modern campus southwest of Paris, between Nantes and Tours. 

  ISEP students are housed at the Belle Beille Campus. This campus offers three university restaurants. The University of Angers has greatly expanded its physical training, sports and artistic activities. A climbing wall, two gymnasiums and three specialized rooms for dance, physical training and martial arts are available to students who wish to practice these activities as part of their study program. They can also participate in tournaments and competitions sponsored by the university sports federation.

  The university offers a variety of opportunities for students to get involved in campus life. The university Cultural Service was created in 2005 and offers a varied program of quality events and services. The “Espace Culturel” houses a 350 seat theater for professional and student productions which has been particularly favored by the association for the promotion of jazz in the Pays-de-la-Loire region.
