Hendrix College

Founded in 1876, Hendrix College is listed as one of forty “Colleges That Change Lives” and celebrated among the country’s leading liberal arts colleges for academic quality, engaged learning opportunities and career preparation, vibrant campus life, and value.”

We enroll over 1,100 students and have a student-faculty ratio of 16 to 1. More than 90 percent of the students live on campus. Our institution is well-equipped with science labs, excellent performing arts facilities, particularly for theater arts, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and opportunities for canoeing, hiking, camping, many intramural sports, and over 70 clubs and student organizations.

  Hendrix is located in Conway, Arkansas, a pleasant, peaceful community 30 minutes north of the state's capital, Little Rock. The state of Arkansas offers beautiful, untouched mountains, lakes, and forests. The climate provides long colorful falls, brief mild winters, and lovely springs. Major cultural centers like Dallas, Memphis, and St. Louis are within driving distance.

  Hendrix students take part in more than 70 student clubs and organizations, representing everything from academic areas and activism to service, social justice, and special interests.
