Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3

Université Paul Valery 3 is one of the oldest universities in Europe, founded in 1289. Situated on a campus outside the city, the university, one of several in Montpellier, continues to emphasize the arts and humanities and is well known as a center for research in interdisciplinary topics such as strategic studies and experimental psychology.

Enroll in regular university courses alongside French students, choosing from a wide variety of departments to design a schedule that fits their academic needs. Known as one of the best French-language training centers in the nation, UPV has a unique program that provides training on how to teach French as a Foreign Language with research in socio-linguistics and teaching methodology. Other strengths include classic and modern literature with a special focus on francophone literatures, history and geography, political science, international relations and philosophy. ISEP students also have access to the "Cours RI," courses developed specifically for international students offered via the International Relations office.
