Benedictine College is a four-year residential, Catholic, Benedictine, co-educational college that provides an outstanding liberal arts education for students of all backgrounds and faiths. Benedictine College has a very vibrant campus life, with a lot of activities and opportunities to make friends.   Atchison is picturesquely situated in the hills beside the Missouri River in northeast Kansas. With a population just under 11,000, the city offers the much-sought qualities of small-town life but is close enough to the metropolitan areas of Kansas City, Topeka and St. Joseph to offer big-city amenities. Benedictine College is less than one hour's drive north of Kansas City, and only 45 minutes from KCI airport.

  Atchison presents a surprising number of entertainment opportunities – from community theatre, concerts and art festivals to sports and recreation. With over 20 sites on the National Register of Historic Places, Atchison reveals its rich history through its impressive Victorian-era architecture and with five museums that showcase its diverse art, history, railroad heritage and the Amelia Earhart birthplace.

  Benedictine College offers many opportunities for students to get involved on campus. Activities include intramural sports, choir, theatre, orchestra, and bands, and over 47 clubs and organizations. Students can also enjoy many weekend activities, such as men’s and women’s retreats, spring formal, concerts, Oktoberfest and Springfest.
