While at Morehouse, ISEP students will join a close community focused on learning, integrity, and personal growth. Morehouse faculty know their students by name and provide mentorship through relationships that last a lifetime. Morehouse’s seven academic divisions led by world-class faculty foster interdisciplinary learning to produce 21st-century critical thinkers.
HOUSING
ISEP student benefits include housing on campus. Rooms are furnished with a bed, closet/armoire, dresser, desk, and chair for each occupant. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and streaming services for entertainment at no additional cost. All campus residential houses have a common area with a microwave and seating and there are multiple laundry facilities located on campus.

Please note that although ISEP students can mention their housing preferences, they do not select where they stay. Housing will be assigned by the Office of Residence Life based on availability and class seniority.
Students may stay on campus during some vacation periods. Students must move out on the last day of benefits and cannot stay during the winter break. They will be charged a housing fee if they stay past the last day of benefits.
MEALS
As an ISEP student at Morehouse, you will receive a meal plan that includes meals, coffee, snacks, and more at convenient dining locations across campus. Meal benefits are loaded onto your Morehouse Student ID. Healthy meal options are always available and most dietary preferences can be accommodated.
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION:
ISEP students will take part in the Morehouse College New Student Orientation experience.
Our New Student Orientation ensures that incoming students are well-prepared for the journey toward academic excellence and personal development at Morehouse.
The orientation program after which others are modeled, New Student Orientation (NSO) at Morehouse College is a week of exciting, enriching, stimulating, and life-changing experiences designed to prepare new students for life as a student at the only HBCU for Black men. During this week, new students become immersed in the Morehouse learning and living environment and engage in a wide range of programming designed to empower them as Men of Morehouse.

Get ready to be challenged to be introspective, reflective, accountable, assertive, and responsible in your role as a leader. During the week, you will also be encouraged to explore the many depths of your potential and to work toward your highest goals. You will meet and bond with other students, both new and returning, some of whom will become your lifelong friends. You will be able to adjust to your new environment before classes start. Most important, you will begin to take your place among the pantheon of thought leaders, high achievers, trailblazers, innovators, and influencers who make up the Morehouse legacy.

Course Description
As a liberal arts college, students at Morehouse are encouraged to take courses in a variety of departments and are not required to only take courses in their field of study. ISEP students may take courses across multiple subject areas.
You can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available.
The average class size is 15 students, so there is a high level of personal interaction between students and faculty. Students who complete the program in good standing can expect to earn 12-16 credits per term. Students typically enroll in four to six classes per term, which average 12 to 17 hours in class per week. A term runs for 15 weeks. To determine how these credits convert at your home institution, please contact your home university coordinator.

All ISEP students will be required to enroll in two non-credit-bearing courses essential to the new student experience, Freshman Orientation, HEDU 152/153, and Freshman Crown Forum, HEDU 123/124.

How to search for courses:
To search for courses, visit dynamic schedule, here and then select the appropriate term from the dropdown menu
Then, select one or more subjects (fields of study) you wish to study.
Make sure to select “Morehouse College” as the Campus type, and both “Hybrid/Blended” and “On Campus” for Instructional Method.
The “Schedule Type” is important to note when looking at the course offerings to insure you’re aware of what kind of course it will be (i.e., lecture/performance, lab, lecture, internship, etc.)
Finally, select search. You can view the course information by selecting the linked course title name.
The time, days of week, location, date range, and schedule type will all be listed below the course title under “Scheduled Meeting Times”

Academic Limitations:
Students can only study one semester at Morehouse.

Departure Notes
Students are responsible for staying until the end of the semester and may not leave before the final date of their semester exams. Neither ISEP nor Morehouse can guarantee an early departure; leaving early may result in a failing exam grade and/or forfeit of credit.
PASSPORT: All students must have a valid passport to participate in this program. If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest you start the application process as soon as possible.
VISA: All non-U.S. citizens will be required to obtain a visa. For more information on the process and estimated cost, please review the ISEP Country Handbook.
