Ajou University ranks among the top 10 universities in South Korea. With a central location to the center of Seoul, students are only a quick train ride away from the lively streets of the capital city. In addition to having a diverse selection of English course offerings, students can take advantage of a variety of activities, both on campus and off campus. Whether it’s participating in the campus buddy program, joining weekend excursions like rafting the Dong River or visiting historical sites such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, students are sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Course Description
Ajou University's English-taught courses are an exciting opportunity to study Business, Computer Science, Engineering, and general education courses in Liberal Arts & Humanities while living in Seoul. Courses in Korean language are also available from Beginner to Advanced level and do not require an additional fee to enroll. Students who are proficient in Korean can also enroll in Korean-taught coursework (see below for requirements).
Credits Earned
Students who complete the program in good standing can expect to earn 15-18 credits which ISEP recommends is the equivalent of 15-18 U.S. Credit Hours.

Check the past two years of Ajou's English-taught courses and course descriptions through the course section in their exchange program site. Use these to build your course list. You'll want to check the semester you plan to attend for the most accurate class listing.
Students proficient in Korean who pass the TOPIK Level 3 and would like to enroll in Korean-taught classes can find them by perusing Ajou's Courses and clicking either "undergraduate" or "graduate" to find each faculty's homepage and associated courses.
Students with enough prerequisite knowledge to take graduate courses can take up to 6 credits of graduate (Masters) courses with prior approval of the UOS faculty.
