The School of Medicine and Surgery at Università Cattolica is internationally acclaimed. Università Cattolica Agostino Gemelli University Hospital is currently ranked the best hospital in Italy and in the top 50 worldwide based on the World’s Best Hospital 2021 Ranking by Newsweek.
Excursions & Cultural Experiences
All students in the program participate in co-curricular site visits one day per week. The "SpazioVivo" Cultural Centre on campus organizes cultural and recreational activities. Among other things it promotes and organizes concerts, art and photographic exhibitions, theatrical productions, literary competitions, meetings with authors, and guided cultural tours.
Housing & Meals
Students live in shared off-campus apartments. Meals are not included. Students will have access to grocery stores, cooking facilities, and a multitude of dining options with affordable meal choices.
Explore Rome
A true cultural capital, Rome is know as the Eternal City and the cradle of western civilization. Wandering the picturesque streets, eating at one of the city's many pizzierias, cafes or trattorias, and people-watching in the piazza are all central to the Roman experience. An open-air museum, students can visit many of the world’s most breathtaking masterpieces, from Michelangelo’s ceiling in la Cappella Sistina to the beautiful attractions in Piazza Navona, la Fontana di Trevi, il Vittoriano, and il Colosseo.
Course Description
The summer program in Rome is divided into two sessions. Each session has a duration of two weeks. Students may enroll in one course per session. Each two-week course is worth 6 ECTS (3 U.S. credits) and grants 44 contact hours. Students will have classes four days per week and will participate in site visits related to course content one day per week. All courses are taught entirely in English.

- Please select your program length below (two or four weeks) based on how many consecutive two-week sessions you plan to attend.
- Your session/course selections will be finalized after placement when completing your ISEP Course Request List.
- The dates indicated below correspond to the full summer program period. Students should consult the table above for specific session dates. Official arrival date will be the Sunday before classes start. Official end date will be the Saturday after classes end.
• Select the 2-week program option if: you intend to take only one course for a total of one 2-week session, regardless if it is session 1 or 2.
• Select the 4-week program option if: you intend to take both 2-week courses, spanning sessions 1 & 2.
