MEALS
Students will receive an additional stipend to be used on campus during Thanksgiving Break (Fall), Spring Break (Spring), and the week prior to courses starting when students' meal plans are not available.
*Calendar Year students are not eligible for ISEP housing or meal benefits over the summer break.

Credits Earned:
Students must enroll in a minimum of 12 US credits or at most 15 US credit. Each class is usually worth 3 to 4 credits, though this may vary by subject area. In class, students spend around 12 - 16 hours each week in class for lectures and discussions. Outside of class, students spend about 2 - 3 hours per class on homework, projects, studying, etc.

Select the term you will go abroad, enter subject (also called FOS) and course career (meaning if they are an undergraduate student). Click on the course results to see more details about each course.
Course Restrictions:
San Jose State University requires all non-native English speakers to submit English assessments such as IELTS or TOEFL.
The following impacted majors at SJSU are unavailable to inbound Exchange students through ISEP: Animation & Illustration, Biological Sciences - Marine Biology, Computer Science, Computer Science & Linguistics, Data Science, Graphic Design, Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering), and Nursing.
Graduate courses are not available to ISEP participants. Graduate level students applying for undergraduate courses are not able to take undergraduate level courses which they have already taken during their own undergraduate level studies at their home university.
Please note that exchange students holding U.S. citizenship are not eligible to study at this institution.
San Jose State University is willing to accept Duolingo English test as an alternative to other English assessments such as TOEFL and IELTS.
