PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Excursions & Cultural Experiences
Besides out-of-class, faculty guided activities related to each of the courses, students participate in a program of orientation and cultural activities that allows participants to get to know each other and immerse themselves in the culture of the region.
Housing & Meals
During their time in Barcelona ISEP students will live in a student residence located close to UPF. The residence is also a short trip on public transport to the city center. Rooms are double-occupancy and cooking facilities are provided. Meals are not included. Students will have access to grocery stores, cooking facilities, and a multitude of dining options with affordable meal choices.

Barcelona is unlike any other city in the world. Located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is famous for its colorful architecture, amazing food and welcoming people. With its unique characteristics, it is no surprise that Barcelona is consistently ranked as one of the world's top 10 tourist destinations. Flock to the sandy coasts to indulge in the Spanish culture of living life to the fullest.
Course Description
Content courses are offered in English or Spanish in an international classroom environment, and are structured in modules (blocks) of different duration and intensity of one to four weeks. This allows students to mix and match different courses during the program.
ISEP students may enroll in a four-week course, or may enroll in a combination two-week and one-week courses during their month in Barcelona, for a maximum of 6-8 ECTS. At the same time, Students will also enroll in a four-week Spanish language course that grants 6 ECTS, offered at the beginner, intermediate or advanced level. Students are required to be enrolled in at least 1 course all four weeks.
In total students can expect to earn a 12-14 ECTS over the course of their month-long program, generally equivalent to 6-7 U.S. credits.

For example, Barcelona on Stage: Documentary Workshop runs through all four weeks of the program, Culture and Business: Spain's Top Brands runs the first two weeks of the program, and The Artistic Brain: Biology and Computation behind Music only runs the first week of the program.

Other Academic Conditions
To participate in this program, students must have:
- A minimum 3.0 GPA
- At least an intermediate level in the language of instruction (English and/or Spanish)
- Completed two years of undergraduate studies by the start of the program
Students are required to be enrolled in at least 1 course all four weeks.
