Students can participate in social events on and off-campus, including welcome and farewell parties, quiz nights, and walking tours. An optional excursion program is also available, led by a qualified tour guide. Past excursions have included a West-end theater show, day trips to Oxford (Stonehenge) and Bath, and a tour of the Tower of London.
Housing & Meals
ISEP Students will be accommodated in university housing on campus with shared bathrooms and facilities. Students will have access to grocery stores, restaurants, and street food. We recommend students bring funds to pay for food abroad.
Explore London
The University of Roehampton is located in the heart of south-west London, close to Putney and Hammersmith and within easy reach of central London. This part of the city offers something for everyone, from world class sports like Wimbledon, museums and art galleries such as the Natural History Museum, music and theater in the West End, to shopping, food and plenty of green open spaces. Studying with us will give you the best of both worlds: the community feel of a traditional university campus, with the culture and entertainment of one of the greatest cities in the world.
Course Description
Students are welcome to attend one or both sessions and earn a maximum of 40 UK credits.
Students should identify and rank several courses of interest within the session that they would like to attend, as courses will run according to student demand. Each year, Roehampton offers a range of courses that can be taken as part of your degree or for general interest — delivered over a three- or six-week period during June and July.
Students who complete the program in good standing can expect to earn 20-40 UK credits which ISEP recommends is the equivalent of 5-10 US credit hours. Each three-week period grants 20 UK credits / 5 US credit hours.
Please note that if you use financial aid, you may be required to earn 6 US credits to be eligible for summer aid. Please speak with a qualified financial aid advisor to understand your eligibility and the requirements for using financial aid.
