Study in France - French Language & Culture (in French) - ISEP Exchange
The French Language & Culture program is an excellent option for students at all French language levels! Students take courses alongside other international students at their language level. This fully immersive program focuses on French conversation and phonetics and also gives students the opportunity to participate in thematic workshops such as: Business French, French History, French Cinema, etc. Each semester offers 20 hours of class per week, allowing students to obtain an Aix-Marseille University Diploma (D.U. of French Language & Culture) and 30 ECTS credits per semester.
HOUSING AND MEALS
ISEP students live in a university residence hall and receive a meal stipend.
SCHOLARSHIP
This program qualifies for the ISEP French and German Language Annette Kade Fund Scholarship. The scholarship awards $500 - $1,500 USD to students who are from a U.S. institution and studying French or German language in Austria, France, Germany, Reunion Island, or Switzerland. Learn more here!

Academics
Other Academic Conditions
Students will take a placement test through Aix-Marseille to determine their language level on arrival.
Students may not enroll in the SUFLE program alongside regular university courses.
All students, even those with little to no French background, must submit a Language Proficency Review. Students below the A2 level do not need to submit a French language essay with their application.
PASSPORT: All students must have a valid passport to participate in this program. If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest you start the application process as soon as possible.
VISA/RESIDENCE PERMIT: Most students attending this program will be required to obtain a visa/residence permit. For more information on the process and estimated cost, please review the ISEP Country Handbook here.
