As an ISEP student, you can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available.

A short distance from the Atlantic coast, Nantes is known as the Venice of the West due to its location on the river delta of the Loire, the Erdre, and the Sèvre. There is a very strong international presence in Nantes because of the many international students attracted by the University.

Students with an intermediate to advance French language proficiency can take a semester or full-year of regular university courses taught in French alongside local French students. The university benefits from the presence of advanced research facilities. It has specialized libraries of humanities and law, sciences and technology.

HOUSING AND MEALS

ISEP students live in a university residence hall and receive a meal stipend.

Course Description

You can research courses using the Nantes website. Languages, literature and humanities are considered strong areas of study, as are science and technology. There is also a limited selection of courses taught in English, particulary in the fields of biology, law and English studies.

Students should use the course catalog to search for course, and can filter results by language of instruction and academic level.

Courses with titles in French are taught in French, and courses with titles in English are taught in English.

ISEP students must choose at least 70% of their courses from one faculty, except in the faculty of Sciences et Techniques, where students must take 100% of courses in this faculty. Students are asked to do this to avoid schedule conflicts.
