Located at the center point of the Middle East and West; of Christianity and Islam; of tradition and modernity, Lebanon is sure to be a place where you will engage with new and diverse perspectives. LAU's Beirut and Byblos campuses are both home to national cuisine, beach resorts and ancient harbors. A walkable city, you will be able to feast on traditional Lebanese mezza, relax on the beach and visit some of its most celebrated sites such as the temple of Bacchus and the ruins of Baalbek in between classes.

Students benefit from language immersion that combines pedagogy with practice. The curriculum also includes off-site trips and lectures that allow students to understand the cultural and political contexts within the Arab world.

SINARC organizes four mandatory excursions to historical and tourist sites in Lebanon, such as the Jeita Grotto; the Arab and Roman ruins in Baalbek, Byblos, Anjar, Tyre, Sidon and Tripoli;the Cedars of Lebanon; the historical palaces in Beiteddine and Deir al-Qamar ;as well as a tour of South Lebanon.

The program has quickly become a top choice for Arabic language learners looking to not only improve their language skills but also to gain a true understanding of the region.
