Chukyo University is the ideal study abroad destination for those interested in an immersion experience. Students have an abundance of opportunities, both inside the classroom and out, to interact with Japanese classmates, improve language skills and experience real Japan. Courses include but are not limited to: Culture and Society of Japan, Japanese Culture and Art, International Business Theory, World Literatures in English, Foundations of Japanese Studies, Oral Communication, International Business, American Literature in the 20th Century, American Culture and British Social History.
For upper-division and graduate students, Chukyo offers a variety of advanced courses in the fields of computer and cognitive sciences (media arts and web design are particularly strong) and media studies.

Other Academic Conditions
Students wishing to take Japanese language courses will need to pass Chukyo's laguage proficiency test after arrival.
The minimum proficiency to take Japanese language class is equivalent to JLPT N5 or above.
Students can take English taught and assisted classes without any Japanese language experience.
