Study in Chile (in Spanish)
Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María is located in Santiago, the cosmopolitan and energetic capital city of Chile. Santiago is nestled between the splendid Andes mountain range and beautiful Pacific coast beaches, with stunning views from the city’s numerous parks and high-rise buildings. This dynamic city has plenty of options for entertainment, from wandering the colonial-style historic quarter and visiting museums to shopping in one of the modern commercial centers and dancing the night away. Santiago is also the perfect jumping-off point for outdoor activities with hiking trails, mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, skiing and vineyards all nearby. Santiago has also been ranked as a top 100 best student city!
Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María is one of Chile’s oldest universities and one of the most prestigious engineering universities in the region, ranked as the 37th best university overall in Latin America by QS World University Rankings. USM has several campuses throughout Chile, and the Santiago Vitacura and Santiago San Joaquín campuses are open to ISEP students.
ISEP students immerse themselves in Chilean culture and daily life by taking university classes with local students and living in the community. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in cultural activities and student groups. Internships, research projects and volunteering opportunities are also available. USM has a "buddy system" to help connect ISEP students and local students, and adjust to life in Santiago!
