You may have already heard Finland is the happiest country in the world, but did you know it is also ranked one of the safest countries to travel! Located in Central Finland, Jyväskylä is a modern city amongst natural beauty. The University of Jyväskylä (JYU) is considered the best Nordic institution. They are the largest teacher education provider, the business program is AACSB accredited, and the Sports & Health Sciences program is unlike any other.

HOUSING AND MEALS
ISEP Exchange students are accommodated in the Soihtu apartments in Kortepohja Student Village. All housing is within walking distance of about a half hour or a short bus ride from campus.
All students will receive a meals stipend that can be used to purchase groceries and cook meals in shared facilities or eat on campus. There are restaurants located on and off the JYU Campus that offer discounted student prices.

COURSES
As an ISEP student, you can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available.
You can even take a Survival Finnish Course for 2 ECTS!
Students looking to complete a full-time course load should enroll in 24-30 ECTS per semester.

PASSPORT: All students must have a valid passport to participate in this program. If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest you start the application process as soon as possible.
VISA/RESIDENCE PERMIT: Most students attending this program will be required to obtain a visa/residence permit. For more information on the process and estimated cost, please review the ISEP Country Handbook here.
