We look forward to welcoming ISEP students to York in the Academic Year 2023-2024. If you are interested in a study period at York and would like to request further information, please contact us.

Located within walking distance of York city centre, our safe and beautiful campus is home to our ten colleges and most departments. We also have departments located in the city centre at the historic King's Manor, and we are investing in the sustainable development of our whole campus. All York students become members of our college system, which provides an inclusive and valuable sense of community on campus alongside the cultural offerings of the thriving city of York.

The University of York is a Russell Group University, with the highest academic standards and consistently outstanding teaching. The university is deeply embedded in the local community of North Yorkshire. Our values and commitment to the public good have never been more important. We are a hub for sharing knowledge, inspiring collaboration, and enriching lives. Study in outstanding spaces and state-of-the-art facilities, plus we have a wide variety of subjects that you can study across the University. The interdisciplinary nature of our teaching and research means you can apply to study in one or more departments, subject to acceptance and timetabling.

Our beautiful parkland campus provides  everything you need to make the most of your study abroad experience. Live and study on campus and make friends through our college system, which provides an instant social life and a supportive environment. These small, distinct communities will become your home away from home. Your college will provide you with a network of support, friendship, facilities, and a full calendar of  events and activities to help you settle in. Meet students from over 150 countries on campus and become part of our diverse community. As 25 per cent of our students come from outside the UK, you’ll make friends from all over the world.

Try something new and meet interesting people through a variety of activities on campus. There are over 200 social, cultural, international and religious student-led societies and over 60 sports clubs to choose from.

Explore York

York is situated in the north of England, a contemporary, student-friendly city, renowned for its rich history and heritage, with ancient walls dating back to Roman times encircling the city centre. With a population of 200,000, it's a buzzing city that’s small enough to cycle and walk around (York is one of the UK’s most cycle-friendly cities), or you can always use the fast and frequent bus service which runs between both the campus and city centre. York is perfectly placed half-way between London and Edinburgh, with good transport links by train and air to the rest of the UK and to Europe - it's about 6 hours by train to Paris - but it's also ideally situated to explore the stunning scenery of Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
