Universidad Privada Boliviana, La Paz is located in the bustling capital city of Bolivia, one of the highest cities in the world with an altitude of 3,649 meters (about 12,000 feet) above sea level. Universidad Privada Boliviana is a private institution founded by the Bolivian business community. It is recognized as a leading university in the country, and has been named as one of the 10 best universities in Latin America for academic strength and one of 25 best for business and economics. UPB’s La Paz campus offers courses in the faculties of business studies, law and engineering.
ISEP students immerse themselves Bolivian culture and daily life by taking university classes with local students and living with a host family in the community. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups. Internships in a variety of fields are also available to ISEP students.
Course Description
UPB’s La Paz campus offers courses in the faculties of business studies, law and engineering. Students may also enroll in a one-month Spanish language pre-session course, included in ISEP benefits.
Tips for finding courses:
1. Go to the La Paz campus website
2. Click on "Facultad de Ciencias Empresariales y Derecho" or "Facultad de Ingeniera" on the left side of the page
3. Click on the subject, then on scroll down and click on "plan de estudios" to view a list of courses.
4. Courses in odd-numbered semesters (Primer, Tercer, Quinto, Septimo) are offered January – June. Courses in even-numbered semesters (Segundo, Cuarto, Sexto, Octavo) are offered July – December.

Student may only take courses at one campus (La Paz or Cochabamba), due to the large distance between the two.
All students must submit an ISEP Language Evaluation for Spanish with a minimum of a B1 level.
