WSU embraces students from 48 states, 98 countries, and many cultures and backgrounds and invites them to share diverse perspectives. Each year thousands of WSU students serve their communities as volunteers, leaders in student organizations, peer tutors, and powerful role models. WSU faculty inspire discovery and spark creativity among civic-minded students.

For over 125 years, the town of Pullman and its university have grown and developed together to form a vibrant, student-centered community. University students comprise 65 percent of the town’s 31,000 residents. Local professionals, WSU faculty and staff, and their families round out the population. The downtown shopping district—with coffee shops, specialty retailers, and restaurants—is only a short walk away from campus. Convenient bus routes provide access to grocery stores, department stores, movie theaters, and more restaurants. WSU students use Pullman’s excellent public transit system free of charge, and the University’s bike-sharing program gives you another easy way to get where you need to go.

HOUSING

Housing is covered at the double room rate in the following Residence Halls: Gannon/Goldsworthy, Orton, Rogers, Stephenson, Stimson, Streit, Waller. All other halls or requests for single rooms will have an additional charge placed on the Student's account.

MEALS

WSU will cover the cost of the meal plan that is RDA Level II. If a student selects a different meal plan, they will be responsible for any additional expenses. Students can use their RDA to purchase food at dining halls as well as markets and cafes on-campus.

The dining halls will be open on-campus during vacation periods, although hours of operation may change. Check the University Dining Services web site for the hours of operation of the dining halls over breaks: http://dining.wsu.edu/hours/

*Calendar Year students are not eligible for ISEP housing or meal benefits over the summer break
