Milan is the driving force of Italian design, business, and finance. Milan is where ideas are cultivated, and revolutionary trends are created. A Milan internship is a way to make your resume stand out, as you gain work experience in the Italian business culture, develop language skills, and make connections in one of the world’s great global business cities.

Milan offers year-round internship opportunities with an 8-week Summer Program and a 12-week semester program in the Fall & Spring. Interns begin the program with an included intensive Italian language course - one week for summer interns and two weeks for semester interns.

HOW IT WORKS

Complete a full-time internship abroad and lay the groundwork for your future career! Work in a global environment and learn about your field from a cross-cultural perspective.

ISEP and our partners at Global Experiences work with you to find an internship placement that matches your career aspirations, educational background and location preferences. During the ISEP application process, you will conduct a brief phone call with an ISEP Student Advisor to learn about your goals for interning abroad. If accepted, you will be guaranteed an internship in your desired career field and location.

In the months leading up to the term abroad, you will be matched with potential employers and interview with them directly to learn more about each other. If everything goes well, the internship is finalized. You will know your internship placement and role before you depart to your host country.

TESTIMONIAL

“This internship program has been the perfect opportunity for me. The length of the program, the people in the program, the city, etc. From exploring the center of Milan to getting lost just outside of it, every day was an adventure. Being able to partake in language classes is what makes this program unique. I was able to tackle my internship head on with a new diverse Italian vocabulary and the confidence to speak. I am blessed to have meet lifelong friends from home and from Italy. And I know, I will be back.”

HOUSING

Milan is a large European city with most residents living in apartments and many of the homes being over 100 years old. Housing is located close to public transport lines so that participants can easily travel around the city as needed. Interns can expect to live in a shared bedroom in either a shared apartment or a student residence with other participants on the Global Experiences program, or with other students attending language or study programs in the city. Housing options are dependent on the program start date.

Accommodations are fully furnished, with a shared kitchen and the necessary amenities, including Wi-Fi. Students may share a room with a person of the same sex; however, matches are made based on the roommate survey. If you have any special housing needs, please mention this to a GE staff member at your time of application, and we will discuss the options available.

Housing fee is included in overall tuition cost. Prices are subject to change.
