Study in the U.S.A. - Northeast (in English) - ISEP Exchange
As an ISEP student, you can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available.
Hampshire College is a reading and writing intensive college and classes are largely interdisciplinary and discussion based; students should be able to succeed in a rigorous academic environment.
Hampshire emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to liberal arts education with faculty teaching in more than one school and students designing individualized academic programs in one field or several fields. Community service and independent projects are essential parts of academic programs. ISEP participants have access to an incredible selection of courses, faculty and resources through Hampshire’s membership in a five-college consortium that includes Amherst, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges, and the University of Massachusetts—Amherst.
Students typically enroll in four classes per term which averages to 12 to 14 hours in class per week. A term runs for 13 weeks.
