Non-native French speakers must submit a Language Proficiency Report for French (minimum B2 Level) if they wish to take the Business Administration classes in French at the IAE. A B1 in French is requested for students enrolling exclusively in the English-speaking program.
Non-native English speakers must submit a Language Proficiency Report for French (minimum B2 Level) if they wish to take the BA classes in French. B1 in French & B2 English are requested for the English-speaking program.
Like many of the ISEP France universities, Université de Lille offers a number of program options in English for students with lower French levels. Students should keep in mind that the English programs at Université de Lille still require students to have a beginner to intermediate level of French in order to navigate daily life in France. Previous students with lower French levels have struggled to understand the complexities of program information delivered in French, as orientation and program communication will be in French. ISEP meetings with the coordinator however will be conducted in English.
Academic Requirements
In order to avoid scheduling conflicts and given the relative location of the three main university campuses within the city of Lille, students must enroll in one Faculty and degree field for 80% of their courses while enrolled at the Université de Lille. Students in this program should plan to take all of their classes in the IAE, with the exception of their French as a Foreign Language course.
