PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Spend your summer in Hong Kong, a financial and cultural hub, studying business and finance, Mandarin or Cantonese, social sciences, engineering and energy, or Chinese Medicine

Hong Kong offers endless opportunities to enjoy city life, but tucked between the ocean and the mountains, it also offers great opportunities to hike or explore Victoria Harbour

Take the ferry to nearby Lamma Island for great beaches, fresh seafood, local markets, and nature trails

LIFE ABROAD

Fun and academically challenging at the same time, the 5-week CUHK International Summer School offers students an opportunity to meet new friends from around the world, learn in an open and stimulating environment, and spend a lively summer exploring a cosmopolitan city.

Excursions & Cultural Experiences

Make the most of your summer by connecting deeply with the culture and community through a wide variety of activities and excursions. Take city tours to iconic locations, enjoy an Aberdeen Sampan ride, or explore history and art at the Palace Museum and Tsz Shan Monastery. Learn traditional Chinese arts like painting, calligraphy, and seal engraving, or try your hand at authentic Chinese cooking. Participate in kindness walks to support underserved communities and gain insights into low-income housing. All activities are included in the program fee.

Housing & Meals

Live on campus in CUHK’s coed dormitory, where you’ll enjoy double or triple occupancy rooms, many with sea or hill views. The residence features unique amenities, including an ocean-view fitness gym, piano room, and open terrace. Conveniently located on the north campus, the dormitory is within walking distance of the central campus or accessible by shuttle.

While meal plans are not included, you can prepare meals in the shared kitchens or enjoy the dining hall and other on-campus options, creating opportunities to connect with local and international students. We recommend students bring funds to pay for food while abroad.

Explore Hong Kong

At CUHK, you can enjoy all the conveniences of Hong Kong's urban center. Students have access to art galleries and museums, including the world's first museum dedicated to climate change. On- and off-campus cultural facilities give students the opportunity to experience performing arts events and concerts.
