Nearby, you can tour Blarney Castle (and the famous Blarney Stone), the historic port of Kinsale, and miles of coastline.
LIVE
ISEP students live in up-to-date, furnished apartments arranged through the UCC accommodation office. Each student has a single room furnished with a bed and desk. Typically, apartments are shared with 3-5 other students and include a furnished living area and a kitchen with standard appliances.
DINE
Dine in the food capital of Ireland on local delicacies such as Boxty (Irish Potato Pancakes), Irish stew, and Shepherd’s Pie. Packed with a litany of restaurants, the city has no shortage of brunch and dinner options or cafes to frequent. There are also plenty of on-campus options to choose from including cafes, restaurants, and convenient stores. The average monthly cost of groceries for students in Cork is 200-300 USD.
EXPERIENCE
Cork has a thriving cultural scene that led it to be named the European Capital of Culture in 2005. Several festivals are held annually in the city including a Midsummer Festival, film festivals, music festivals, and more. You can also join in on other favorite Irish pastimes by joining an Irish football or rugby team or learning how to navigate open waters by enrolling in a local sailing class.
