Virtual Internship in Milan (in English)
Intern with an Italian company and complete projects based on your goals and experience, developing your professional skills and building your personal brand while gaining international work experience.
Individually customized internships and research projects are available in a wide variety of disciplinary areas. Most placements are in small and medium-sized business where you will be integrated into the work of the company.
This 14-week program grants 6 ECTS (3 U.S. credits), combining 20-30 hours a week of work at your virtual internship with a course that focuses on career coaching and mentorship. Meet fellow students during Cattolica's online orientation at the beginning of the program, and take part in regular check-in sessions with UCSC advisors. Students enrolled in this program also gain access to the global CareerProfessor app, aimed at enhancing employability potential.
The internship can be completed in English or Italian. Coursework and career coaching are conducted in English. Students can also add an optional Italian language course to further their cross-cultural experience.
Course Description
Students earn 6 ECTS (3 U.S. credits) over the course of the semester through a combination of 120 hours of work at their virtual internship and participation in the course that accompanies the program.

PROGRAM COURSE
The 25-hour program course Mentoring Success: The Stage of Work consists of a series of sessions aimed at stimulating experiential learning and assisting students in achieving success during their internship. Together with online lectures, the learning process is supported by interactive exercises, videos and group discussions. The course is taught in real-time, but all lessons will be recorded for students unable to attend live sessions.
ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE
Students are encouraged to add the optional Italian language course to further their cross-cultural experience. Language courses are designed for students at all levels of Italian, from absolute beginners to advanced speakers.

Students must have junior or senior standing at their home institution to participate in the internship program.
The internship can be completed in English or Italian. Coursework and career coaching are conducted in English.
