• The city of San Jose is truly diverse, allowing you to connect with people from all over the world and all walks of life. The open-minded community embodies the mentality that people should be able to do what they want to do and be who they want to be.

LIFE ABROAD

An adventurer’s paradise, San Jose’s year-round beautiful weather makes trips around the city and state possible during any season.

LIVE

Live in the SJSU Campus Village, located on the south-east corner of campus, alongside local and international students.

DINE

California cuisine is a blend of cultural influences from not only all over the U.S., but all over the world. Taste it all by dining at a variety of San Jose restaurants, including those that specialize in Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Middle Eastern, and American cuisine. Organic (and affordable) fruits, vegetables, and meat are available at weekly farmers markets across the city. No matter what your dietary preferences, they can be accommodated easily and deliciously in San Jose.

EXPERIENCE

Immerse yourself in the campus community by participating in a variety of student activities. These include language and cultural exchanges, parties, field trips (like to the awe-inspiring redwood forests!), sports get-togethers, the Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge, and more!

EXPLORE

Centrally located in California, it’s easy to plan road trips to explore the beautiful redwood forests (about 6 hours away), breathtaking desert landscapes (5-6 hours away), stunning beaches, and coastal mountain ranges.

THRIVE

Check out the brand-new fitness center on the SJSU campus! Swim laps in the Olympic-size pool, run the track, or take a yoga class with local students. There are also plenty of resources to keep you healthy and happy while at SJSU, including a Wellness Lounge, Counseling Servies, and nutrition support.

What We Love About SJSU

We love that you can experience classic American culture through movie nights, block parties, tailgating at sports games, and more.
