Regular University Courses (in English, Italian)
Università degli Studi di Trieste is located in the capital city of Italy's Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region. Previously known at the “gateway to the sea” of the Austrian Empire, the city is nestled between a gulf of the Adriatic Sea and the highlands or Karst. Due to its location and history as a seaport, Trieste has a rich tradition of cultural and religious diversity. Students will be immersed in Italian culture in Trieste and surrounded by the beautiful cityscape and historic sites. Austria, Slovenia and Croatia are also within easy reach for weekend excursions.
Università degli Studi di Trieste can trace its beginnings back to 1877, with the establishment of the Pasquale Revoltella Foundation for Economic and Business Studies. Today, the university has twelve faculties and boasts a wide range of academic disciplines. The quality of education is accompanied by the quality of research, as Trieste works to consolidate its role as a nationally and internationally leading research institution.
ISEP students immerse themselves in Italian culture by taking university classes with local students and living in a residence hall on campus. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups. The Erasmus Student Network at Trieste organizes events for both local and international students, and sponsors a “buddy system” for exchange and Italian students each semester.

Not all courses are offered each semester and course language of instruction is subject to change. Students should be flexible with course selection.
