This bilingual program aims to help students master scientific language in French and English and develop both their academic formation in biology, biotechnology, chemistry,  and their intercultural competencies. Class lectures are taught in French while discussion sections (in smaller groups) and applied classes (labs) are taught in English.

HOUSING AND MEALS

ISEP students live in a university residence hall and receive a meal stipend.

Course Description

The curriculum is organized around a mix of core science courses and multidisciplinary subjects, and instruction is a combination of lectures in French and small-group tutorials and applied classes taught in English. Course information and descriptions can be found on the program website.

The program offers lower-level courses in general life sciences. Upper-level students can integrate coursework in biochemistry, allowing them to acquire fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in the following areas: structural and metabolic biochemistry, enzymology, organic chemistry, molecular biology, cellular biochemistry, microbiology and biotechnology. Courses such as immunology, bacterial and eukaryotic genetics, molecular pathology, stereochemistry, solution chemistry are also offered. Multidisciplinary courses allow an opening to the professional world (marketing, labor law, introduction to research, industrial projects, etc.).
