Study + Intern in New Zealand (in English) - ISEP Exchange
Not only is Waikato in the top 1.1% in the world in the latest QS world university rankings, but it is also conveniently located in Hamilton, the center of the North Island – the perfect place to go exploring from. Just a drive away, you can find beaches, thermal pools, hiking trails, glow worm caves, and middle-earth magic at Hobbiton. There is plenty of opportunity to balance study with exploring the best of what New Zealand has to offer.
Students interested in indigenous studies or simply want to explore New Zealand’s vibrant indigenous culture of the Maori people will find nearby sites such as Ngaruawahia and Turangawaewae Marae particularly intriguing.

INTERNSHIPS
The University of Waikato offers internship opportunities through InternNZ. Students are interviewed and placed before arriving on campus to study, allowing for their internship to begin early in their trimester abroad. Through the Study+Intern programme, students have the choice of whether they would like to gain academic credit for their internship or not. These opportunities are open to all majors -- as long as a student is eligible to do an exchange at Waikato (i.e., they are at least in their second year of study at university), then they are eligible for an internship.
