The vibrant capital of Costa Rica, San José, offers eight-week summer internships. The city is the business center of one of the world's most biodiverse countries in the world. San José is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush rainforests, is considered the gateway to the Pacific and Caribbean coasts and is one of the main hubs of economic activity in Central America.

Nearly a million people commute to the center of the city every day to work in the thriving industries of San José. Some of the most popular internship placements are in the business, environmental, engineering, and NGO sectors. It is the ideal destination to combine a professional internship with access to one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

HOW IT WORKS

Complete a full-time internship abroad and lay the groundwork for your future career! Work in a global environment and learn about your field from a cross-cultural perspective.

ISEP and our partners at Global Experiences work with you to find an internship placement that matches your career aspirations, educational background and location preferences. During the ISEP application process you will conduct a brief phone call with an ISEP Student Advisor to learn about your goals for interning abroad. If accepted, you will be guaranteed an internship in your desired career field and location.

In the months leading up to the term abroad you will be matched with potential employers and interview with them directly to learn more about each other. If everything goes well, the internship is finalized. You will know your internship placement and role before you depart to your host country.
